Iron Maiden coming to Birmingham

Next year is set to bring a treat for fans of metal music in Birmingham, with the news that legendary band Iron Maiden are hitting town as part of their upcoming tour.

The group will be clambering aboard the tour bus again after the hugely successful world trip that it took to promote its album, ‘Book of Souls’, this year. One of the dates pencilled in for this latest tour is Birmingham, in late summer.

The Genting Arena will be the venue for the concert, which is sure to be a highlight of next summer for Brum headbangers. It is one of several shows throughout the UK that will be part of the European leg of the tour.

The Legacy of the Beast tour will see the group perform on a stage with fictional worlds that are interlinked and inspired by its official comic book and mobile game. Speaking to the Birmingham Mail, Rod Smallwood, the group’s manager, said:

“I don’t want to give too much away at the moment but we’re working on a number of different stage sets, all in keeping with the Maiden tradition and we hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show.”

The gig takes place on 7th August and full colour printing may be used for posters and other merchandise.
