Manchester to welcome dual-brand hotel

Two hotels will open in the same building, representing an innovative guest solution in Manchester.

Stalybridge Suites and Crowne Plaza, situated close to Oxford Road, will open their doors early next year.

The Corridor Manchester building, boasting some 19 storeys, will house 212 rooms for Crowne Plaza guests, as well as 116 rooms for visitors to Stalybridge Suites.

Both hotels are recruiting new staff, with over 100 hospitality positions available, including maintenance manager, chef, and food and drinks manager.

The Crowne Plaza will include a 120-cover restaurant, a gym, and numerous meetings rooms capable of housing more than 200 delegates. The hotel will take up 11 storeys in the building.

Andrew Fletcher, general manager for the dual-hotel, has two decades of experience in hospitality. He commented:

“After topping out the building we are delighted to now announce that the Crowne Plaza and Staybridge Suites will open under one roof early next year.

“The dual-brand double pack concept is extremely exciting as it isn’t something that has been offered to people staying in Manchester before.”

Fletcher will be looking to promote both hotels, but each will also be keen to do their own work to attract guests. The promotion mix will likely include such materials and services as luxury business cards, customised stationery, and sign printing.

The site received planning permission in May of 2013.
