Dunfermline to host Chinese State Circus

Folks in Dunfermline will have the chance to bring the summer to a spectacular end later this month, when the town plays host to a highly acclaimed circus troupe.

The Chinese State Circus, which has achieved recognition throughout the world, will be bringing its new ‘Dynasty’ show to Dunfermline for six days, giving residents a chance to see what the fuss is all about. Duloch Park is set to serve as the venue for the troupe’s performances.

These offer a unique blend of familiar circus favourites, such as jugglers and tightrope walkers, and Chinese-flavoured acts like Shaolin Warriors and martial arts masters. All of this is set to hypnotic Chinese percussion rhythms.

The Chinese State Circus was founded a quarter of a century ago and brings the Asian country’s circus tradition into the modern era. Phillip Gandey, its creative director, told a reporter from the Dunfermline Press:

“In our latest production we have returned to the pure and honest perfection in acrobatics upon which our reputation is based. We have the world class artistes capable of performing the excellence required.”

This show will arrive in Dunfermline on Tuesday, August 15 and will stay until Sunday, August 20, and full colour printing may be used to make sure that the promotional posters are as lively and exciting to look at as the shows.
