Car show near Watford raises money for charity

Organisers of the show hoped to attract thousands of visitors. High-performance vehicles and classic cars were used to tempt people to the festival. The Watford and District Classic Vehicle Club has been putting on the show for over a decade.

Kevin France is the treasurer of the classic vehicle club and his efforts have helped lead to the showcasing of Lamborghinis, Aston Martins, Ferraris and Jaguars. As well as this, a range of other celebrated cars have been added to the mix. People do not have to pay to enter the car show, but they have been encouraged to donate funds to charitable causes.

France told the Watford Observer:

“The great thing about the event is that most of the money goes to local charities too. We like to give back to the community and support charities that support people from around here.”

The weather has the potential to impact on the attendance at car shows. Nonetheless, France stated that the wide appeal of this particular show has often pulled in lots of people. He added that the provision of rides for children can be effective in getting families to come.
