An NHS Trust will be engaging with companies specialising in poster printing near to South Birmingham as part of their latest health awareness campaign. Specifically aimed at women between the ages of 35 – 55 years old, the NHS trust in the area wants to get the message out about the dangers of excessive drinking over a long period of time. NHS Birmingham East and North enlisted the help of London agency, Dr Foster Intelligence, in order to devise a campaign that focuses on the message ‘3 days booze free’. The campaign is to try to encourage women to have at least 3 days per week without alcohol for a 3 month period taking a different approach to other campaigns that try to discourage drinking altogether.
The campaign comes as the trust hopes to tackle the number of women in this age group who are being admitted to hospital due to complications with their health after drinking excessively over a long period of time.
The campaign will run on posters, and a website which will give advice and support. Packs have also been developed which will be distributed by NHS staff with guidance on reducing alcohol intake, monitoring your progress and advice on how to enjoy an evening without drinking alcohol. The packs will be given out as part of experiential activity planned for the campaign meaning that staff can reach their key target audience. To attract attention, the exhibition stand will be based around a 16 foot tall inflatable wine bottle.
