Young Potters Bar man takes on Mount Kilimanjaro

If you are a brochure and flyer printer in Potters Bar why not consider sponsoring a local young man in his quest to reach the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro? You could donate to his effort, or even print some flyers in Potters Bar to help him attract sponsors.
Tim Dixon, who only last year completed his A levels at Chancellors School, is determined to reach the summit of Africa’s highest mountain in an effort to raise funds for Childreach International. The organisation works to improve child living standards around the world by improving sanitation, rights and education.
Tim is now attending the University of Leeds and he has joined the Raising and Giving society (RAG), which has organised the climb on Kilimanjaro. He has completed several challenges in the recent past and he was one of the riders in the A to B team to cycle from Andorra to Britain, riding through the Alps. They raised £10,877.89 for Cancer Research UK.
The Kilimanjaro attempt will take place in August and proves to be a very challenging event. He will endure extremes of temperature and the possibility of suffering altitude sickness, as well as the physical challenge itself.
In order to take part in the event Tim must raise £2,300 for Childreach. Some of this sum will cover part of his expenses; he has already spent £220 of his own funds to start his fundraising campaign – including printing in Potters Bar to gain local support.
