The art of burlesque comes to Potters Bar
February 23, 2011 by Gareth
Residents of Potters Bar are in for a real treat as the area’s first Burlesque show is set to open in the town. The show is being promoted using poster printing services and Potters Bar’s very own Wyllyotts Theatre will be the venue set to host the show. Burlesque is a form of performance art that combines music, comedy, cabaret and choreography and the end result is often stunning and sometimes a tad saucy. Poster printing has help Potters Bar’s entertainment venues to promote their events and shows for several years and this time-tested method is often successful, resulting in complete sell-out shows. Producer Michael Taylor hopes that by featuring a type of show that is a break from the norm, local residents will find their curiosity piqued and will attend the show with an open mind whilst be ready to experience the range of talents that this Burlesque show has to offer.
Burlesque as a performance art form has grown in popularity in recent years and this is thought to be due to the clever promotion of burlesque shows throughout the country, using services such as poster or flyer printing. Potters Bar is home to local print companies who are able to provide Potters Bar venues with the right level of professionalism and expertise that will allow them to promote shows accurately and with the right message, hereby increasing return on investment for the venue. The show at Wyllyotts Theatre takes place on 19th February and tickets are available from the venue.
