Kelly Brook poster stops traffic
August 7, 2010 by Michael
Traffic jams in central London are nothing new, but traffic will have crawled even slower along a busy London street, the day that the latest Reebok trainer advertisement was posted on a large outdoor billboard. The campaign for Reebok’s new Easytone trainers was given a boost with the latest campaign creative featuring model, presenter and actress, Kelly Brook. The impact was helped by the size of the poster but mainly due to the fact that Brook is featured wearing nothing but the Easytone Trainers. Reebok also had Kelly on hand to unveil the poster herself on Battersea Park Road.
The billboard will be posted for two weeks and aims to build on the launch of the product back in March this year. The aim is to demonstrate to young women that the trainers can help tone their muscles. Though the poster is located in London, the impact of the campaign will be felt nationally through PR activity.
Brands looking to cause the same stir can find printing companies in Potters Bar or other areas around London to provide them with a one off poster print run. Using traffic stopping creative executions on posters is nothing new with the likes of Pretty Polly and Wonder Bra using the outdoor poster medium to great effect in the past but the story will always make the headlines and means that the posters have a far wide reaching impact on consumers than just those lucky commuters who pass the poster every day on their way to or from work.
