Alan Titchmarsh backs Peterborough Garden Park

Sometimes you need more than a strong printing campaign to promote a new business venture or the opening of a new retail outlet. While the new Garden Park, costing millions to construct, will have no doubt used services offering poster printing in Peterborough – nothing quite beats the draw of having a superstar from the gardening world to pop along and conduct a book signing.
Published author, gardener and TV presenter Alan Titchmarsh was in Peterborough recently to sign copies of his latest book – much to the adulation of local Peterborough gardening fanatics.
Alan is perhaps best known for his role presenting BBC 1’s Ground Force, with Tommy Walsh and Charlie Dimmock. However, he was at the Peterborough Garden Park to promote his book and to offer advice on gardening to his army of waiting fans.
As well as signing books, Alan also talked about the local area and how it is important that gardeners use it wisely. Alan commented:
There are so many opportunities in this area to use locally grown produce. And it is important because it cuts down on food miles – the distance food travels from where it is grown to the shops – but also because it tastes better and fresher.
I hope the current grow-your-own gardening movement is sustained. It’s a great way for people to interact with nature.
Alan also pointed out that the gardening world and the print industry have come together in Peterborough due to the fact that Gardener’s World, a magazine, is published by Peterborough printers.
The area around Peterborough is great growing country and I always get a very nice reaction when I visit here – especially as the Gardener’s World magazine is published from Peterborough.
