Norwich printing companies, from smaller brochure printers to large print management firms, will always be interested in their local printing scene. Local printing company, Kall Kwik, became the first company in the UK to install Roland DG’s metallic inkjet wide-format printer – the Soljet Pro III XC-540MT.
The company is continuing to do well with their new machine. Like many other print firms, they will be keeping a close eye on future developments in machinery and may well be considering attending the IPEX Exhibition at Birmingham NEC if they are looking to stay ahead of the game in acquiring new kit. There will be a good showing of digital machinery this year as the digital sector has taken the greatest percentage of floor space.
As with other printing companies around Norwich, the firm can offer a range of print solutions to suit customer’s needs, for example, design services, business gifts, all forms of print and now large format printing too.
Large format work used to be handled by silk-screen print firms. If you wanted a 40ft banner in the old days, this is where you would have to go.
New development in digital machinery is making large format a more viable option for printing companies to add to their range of print solutions on offer to clients.
The print industry is ever evolving. Future machinery mixes for print companies is likely to include traditional offset-litho and digital. However, digital innovation is beginning to compete on costs and is likely to taker a larger percentage of the overall market. Wide format work is also finding an increasing market.
