Sywell Airshow to get WWI theme in 2014

As next year marks the centenary of the First World War, it was recently announced that an airshow near Northampton will be delivered with a distinctive Great War theme.
The 2014 Sywell Airshow – which is held every two years – will feature a unique line-up of biplanes that soared over the battlefields of one of the most significant conflicts of the 20th century.
A number of World War II fighter planes will also feature at the event – including the powerful P-51 Mustang and the iconic Spitfire, which was the mainstay of the Royal Air Force in the 1940s. Aerobatic teams will be present at the show as well.
Airshows can use professional printing services in Northampton to produce top quality promotional material and drum up public support.
According to the Northampton Chronicle and Echo, a spokesperson from the event said that organisers have been ‘over the moon’ with the public’s response in recent years, and a huge number of tickets are sold in advance.
Further, the spokesperson said that advance ticket sales have increased year-on-year, and advised aeroplane enthusiasts to purchase theirs early to avoid disappointment.
The event committee has reported that in 2012, Sywell Airshow managed to raise more than £46,000 for Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance – £15,000 more than it collected for the charity in 2010. To date, the 2012 donation is the largest the organisation has ever received.
