Loughborough print management merger

Print companies in Loughborough, from smaller companies printing letterheads and business cards to large print firms, will always be interested in mergers and expansion of other local printers. On the 1st July 2009, Loughborough based Winstonmead merged its sheet specialist company, Shepshed Knight, with Q3 Print Project Management, also based in Loughborough. The purchase of Q3 was completed on the above date for an undisclosed sum.
The company planned to relocate to Q3’s Print Project Management site by the end of 2009, bringing Shepshed Knight’s 13 staff with them. The new print management company was renamed Winstonmead Print after Shepshed Knight’s parent company. The newly merged company will now operate with a total of 30 staff. Staffing levels will be reviewed in the future.
Winstonmead bought Shepshed Knight in September 2008. According Mr. Keith Campsall, Winstonmead regional sales director, since the acquisition Q3 and Shepshed have enjoyed a friendly relationship. No doubt this was a significant factor in the merger decision. Speaking about the purchase of Q3 Mr. Campsall said:
Although Q3 specialises in book work, whereas we specialise in sheet, the synergies between the two companies are enormous
It is a particularly tough time for business during times of recession, perhaps more so for the printing industry, which is always at the forefront of economic activity. It is good to see print firms looking to the future, consolidating their operation and getting into a good position to take advantage of better times when the economic situation experiences a genuine upturn.
