Loughborough is a magnet for the wallpaper printing industry

An unlikely candidate to be the centre of attention for design, Loughborough has recently shaken up its image and is now being seen as the hip new capital of wallpaper printing. Some printing companies in Loughborough are now running their operations around the clock just to cope with demand, something unheard of in recent years as the trend for painting and not wallpapering swept across the nation.
One of the companies printing their wallpaper in Loughborough is Miss Print, a company originally based in trendy East London who formerly sold rolls of wallpaper to boutique department stores like Heals and Liberty but are now expanding their operation to cater to the rise in demand for their designs. Their latest collection will be stocked in John Lewis stores, meaning that their designs truly have reached the mainstream.
It is not just wallpaper printing that has become the on-trend thing to do when it comes to interior design; many home owners are visiting local print shops in Loughborough to have their own bespoke large-format prints created using full colour printing.
Loughborough’s economy will certainly benefit from the recent relocation of wallpaper printing operations, and the town’s established print shops could capitalise for this new-found enthusiasm for interior design by offering services like bespoke artwork and poster printing, meaning that local residents have more control than ever over their homes when it comes to feathering ones’ nest.
