Kirkintilloch artist gets crowdfunding support

An architectural designer based in Print company in Kirkintilloch printing services Kirkintilloch is one step closer to fulfilling his ambition to become a professional artist, after he received significant financial support from an online crowdfunding campaign.

Danny Campbell currently works for the local firm Hoko Design, but is now set to develop another career on the side after he received donations from people all over the world that enabled him to pursue a project he calls the World Animal Map.

By the time his campaign closed, Campbell, who is aged 26, had secured more than twice the sum he was originally aiming for. Among the countries that he received money from were Australia, Singapore and the Maldives and he is now exhibiting his work in a Print company in Glasgow printing services Glasgow gallery.

The exhibition’s focal point is a sizeable map made of canvas that shows a variety of the wildlife to be found on the planet. Speaking to the Kirkintilloch Herald, Campbell said a former job at Twycross Zoo had inspired the map, adding:

“My job was to construct and design new habitats. However, I was drawn to the art gallery at the zoo. I visited it every day. It gave me so many ideas for creating art inspired by animals.”
