A right royal day for paper and printing companies in Kings Lynn
February 18, 2011 by Gareth
Kings Lynn residents and businesses have been given the royal treatment not once but twice recently thanks to visits from Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, as well as another visit from heir to the throne, Prince Charles. The royal visits are part of yearly local engagements that are undertaken by the royal family. Whilst in the area, Prince Philip and The Queen visited the Palm Paper Mill, one of the most successful businesses in the region. Palm Paper Mill provides all of the paper required to print every national newspaper and several regional papers, too. This recognition from the Queen is positive news for local companies offering digital printing services in Kings Lynn as these businesses will feel buoyed by the fact that local industry – and the print industry in particular – has its heart in the Norfolk region. Printing companies have always thrived in Kings Lynn, whether it is due to the number of local businesses that rely on them for services like catalogue printing in Kings Lynn, or the fact that local printing companies can offer a much more bespoke service that is tailored to meet the needs at hand.
The owner of Palm Paper Mill reported that The Queen had been extremely interested and inquisitive into how the £400 million pound business had come to be located in the area and Dr. Wolfgang Palm, the owner of the company, said he was honoured to answer her questions.
