Falkirk printing companies lead the way in organ donor awareness campaign

The Scottish government is set to launch a half a million pound campaign designed to raise awareness of the need for organ donors. Over 600 people are currently waiting for organ transplants in Scotland and this includes residents of Falkirk. Printing companies are being called upon to offer services like flyer printing to help spread the word about how important it is to sign up to the organ donor register.
The campaign is set to be brought to life in Falkirk in the New Year, as members of the organ donor register will visit The Howgate Mall in Falkirk to encourage shoppers to sign up there and then. Local printing companies in Falkirk will welcome the opportunity to get involved in spreading such a worthy message and the campaign will generate a significant amount of business for those companies offering service like poster printing.
Falkirk residents will have the chance to sign up and to receive more information about becoming an organ donor when teams from the organ donor register set up their stalls in The Howgate Mall.
This campaign is being championed by The Herald newspaper as well as being supported by local printing companies in Falkirk. The aim is to significantly increase the numbers of people on the organ donor register by raising awareness and ensuring that local people have access to the information about how to become an organ donor, as well as making it as easy as possible to sign up and show support for the campaign.
