Packaging print company puts Crewe in the spotlight

A company offering printing services for packaging has recently thrown Crewe into the spotlight of the printing world. Benson Group recently appointed a new Sales Director for the Medical arm of the group in the form of Deborah Greenwood which has been of interest to print industry publications such as Print Week who ran articles about this appointment. This appointment and continued investment in the Benson Group shows faith in the print industry in general but also shows faith in Crewe as a centre of excellence for print in the UK. Alongside the Benson Group, which is a huge corporation that has seen over £25m investment in their business since 2000, there are also smaller printing companies in Crewe offering everything from brochure to POS printing.
Crewe’s local businesses often rely upon local print companies and whilst bigger firms like the Benson Group take care of packaging for multi-national clients like GlaxoSmithKlein, these smaller companies are able to offer a more personal touch and a bespoke service that, whilst being on a smaller scale, can really help to drive sales and maximise business for the companies that use these services. Having great packaging is certainly an asset for any brand, but the local businesses and shops that stock these brands could benefit significantly from using services like POS printing to draw attention to products that are on sale. By combining the use of bigger and smaller companies, many local firms find that they strike the perfect balance that generates real results for local businesses.
