Coventry school gets upgraded Ofsted report
February 21, 2013 by Lyndon
A primary school in Coventry has received a ‘good’ overall report from Ofsted, marking an improvement on the results that were received two years ago.
Little Heath primary school was been awarded the rating after a recent inspection impressed the school standards body. This is an improvement on the last rating, which saw the school graded as ‘satisfactory’.
Gill Mulhall, the head teacher of the school, spoke about the new rating, saying:
“We are really pleased with the Ofsted inspection result which recognises the commitment and dedication of all staff, pupils and governors working together for the good of the school. Everyone has worked really hard to make the school a success and I am extremely proud of them all. We are not complacent however and we know there is more work to be done to continue the good progress we have made.”
Many schools across the UK use Ofsted ratings to attract pupils. They often do this by mentioning positive ratings in printed literature and brochures. Banners can also be used to promote the school to those driving or walking past. Parents often seek schools with higher ratings to get the best for their children. Some schools also use poster printing. Coventry is home to many
printing companies which are able to provide this service.
The recent Ofsted report held the reception class in particularly high regard and praised teachers for arranging imaginative lesson plans. Information about the full report can be obtained by contacting the school directly.
