Trinity Mirror, the company behind the local newspaper in Coatbridge, is branching out to give local businesses a boost by launching its own deals website.
The Airdrie and Coatbridge advertiser’s parent firm, Trinity Mirror, recently revealed that they would be rolling out a deals website aimed at showcasing deals for small to medium-sized local enterprises, giving these businesses a boost at a time when the economy is still in recovery from the recent recession.
Local businesses in Coatbridge will be able to have deals featured on the new Trinity Mirror deals website, which is called Happli. The website will be a secondary marketing tool in the mix of whichever other channels local business are using, whether these are traditional press ads or poster, flyer and banner printing. Coatbridge and Airdrie’s local businesses have often had great success using traditional advertising channels like these, but combining them with an online incentive or deal strengthens the offering of local firms even more.
The Managing Director of the deals website is Dave Raywood. He recently spoke about the site, saying:
“We are working with retailers to really understand their objectives and build winning deals that will offer real value to customers. Daily Deals are an increasingly important part of the marketing mix for SMEs and our deal partners will be working with them to craft promotional offers that showcase what they have to offer, delight consumers who buy them and work with the retailer to drive repeat visits and sales.”
The site is part of a pilot in several UK areas with a national rollout planned for the near future.
