Cardiff charity run for St David’s Day

People living in and around Print company in Cardiff printing services Cardiff are being encouraged to mark St David’s Day by taking part in a charity race that is being held in the city and which is designed to raise cash for Cancer Research Wales.

Participants will have the option of signing up for any of the three different distance runs. It will be the 14th successive year that the St David’s Day Run has taken place and it has become a key fundraising event on the calendar for the charity.

The charity director for Cancer Research Wales, Liz Andrews, told Wales Online that the organisation was delighted that the event would be happening again this spring and that she was excited at the thought of attending and soaking up the atmosphere and fun, adding that:

“It is great to see people from across Wales race together to celebrate our country’s heritage and help raise vital funds for pioneering research projects into the diagnoses, treatments and preventatives of cancer. Come on Wales – we can do this!”

The event will be held on 5th March, with St. David’s Day being celebrated on 1st March. The chosen route will cover the centre of Cardiff and Bute Park.
