Cambridge leaflets promote tomatoes

Tomatoes have been given a boost after some flyer printing in Cambridge by Greenery UK meant that recipe leaflets were distributed to tomato lovers with fresh ideas on how to encourage them to use tomatoes in their cooking.
Greenery UK is a fruit and vegetable supplier that celebrated British Tomato Week by distributing sustainably grown tomatoes produced by one of their company’s own tomato growers. Along with Cornerways Nursery, a Norfolk based tomato growing company, Greenery UK went to Sainsbury’s supermarkets in Cambridge and Norwich, and also to Tesco’s head office, in order to promote their eco friendly home grown tomatoes. Cornerways Nursery is known for using no fuel for heat as all heat and power is provided by a system from an adjacent sugar processing plant, therefore reusing heat and being more eco friendly.
Greenery UK is a big supplier of our supermarkets for salads and fresh vegetables and is also the largest supplier of home-grown UK tomatoes. British Tomato Week aims to raise awareness about sustainably grown produce here in Britain. A variety of tomatoes were on offer for people to taste and cooking and storage tips were given by growers from Cornerways Nursery at the supermarkets, alongside the recipe leaflets that were distributed to tomato lovers.
Flyers or leaflets are a great marketing tool for reaching a lot of people and are a low cost, highly effective form of communication. By giving the audience something they can use – like a voucher, a coupon or in this case a recipe, it engages potential customers and encourages spend.
