Business and charity mix over breakfast networking event
April 5, 2012 by Michael
Business and charity work came together recently in Bromley thanks to a business breakfast in aid of local care provider, Harris Hospiscare.
A business breakfast networking event was recently held at the Bromley Court Hotel, where local business men and women were able to mingle and network whilst learning more about the work done by a local hospice based in Orpington. Harris Hospiscare is home-based care provider that that works throughout South Bromley. It also provides a day centre to offer respite and care to adults who need it.
The networking event was designed to raise funds for Harris Hospiscare whilst giving something back to attendees by providing them with business networking opportunities. This is where digital business cards come in handy, allowing people to quickly exchange details thanks to being able to exchange cards produced using business card printing. The Bromley Court Hotel event raised an impressive £530 to donate to Harris Hospiscare.
Dame Barbara Monroe is the chief executive of Harris Hospiscare. She spoke about the event recently, saying:
“We would like to thank Patrick Wall, manager at the Bromley Court Hotel for his generosity, and of course to all our guests for their support too. We look forward to working more closely with the Bromley business community.”
Thanks to the success of the event, similar networking gatherings may be planned in future, giving the Bromley business community a way to further their own endeavours whilst helping to support local charities.
