The prestigious Somerset Business Awards launched on 2nd June at the Bath and West Show and entries are now being taken for their 2011 ceremony, which will be held in October.
The Somerset Business Awards celebrate businesses from around Bath and the surrounding region and are designed to give local entrepreneurs the opportunity to network and to showcase their work to other companies and potential clients in the South West of England.
With categories ranging from Best New Business to Environmental Responsibility, there is a category to suit most businesses and to give firms a chance to shine regardless of their size or sector. The awards are now open for entries which can be made via the Somerset Business Awards’ website and the awards ceremony itself will be held in Taunton in October.
The Somerset Business Awards ceremony is as much a networking event as it is a celebration of local business, so attendees are encouraged to bring along and exchange digital business cards. Bath, Taunton and the wider Somerset region is home to a number of flourishing local businesses and events like this serve to strengthen the local economy even further.
The awards are backed by the Somerset Chamber of Commerce – an organisation that openly advocates networking between local businesses and attributes its own success to networking within the local business community. By attending events where both business know-how and digital business cards can be exchanged, Bath and Somerset businesses will see a widening of their circle of influence which in turn could lead to a stronger business proposition in the long run.
