Signed flyer from Britain’s Got Talent winner on display in Ayrshire pub

A flyer signed by Britain’s Got Talent winner Jai McDowell now hangs in pride of place behind the bar of The Plough pub in Ayrshire.

24-year-old singer Jai McDowell wowed audiences with his powerful and extraordinary voice in the recent finals of the talent show and it transpired that voters across the UK were just as enthusiastic about him as his home-town fans in Tarbolton, Ayrshire.

The landlady of The Plough pub in Tarbolton, Carol Morrison-Page, is the proud owner of the flyer that has been signed by Jai. This was produced as part of a production of Chess the musical, which was performed by Jai and his fellow players from the Ayr Amateur Opera Company.

Carol and the rest of the staff at The Plough hosted a party in Jai’s honour and many of Jai’s local fans turned out, bringing with them a number of posters to encourage people to vote for the local singer.

The posters clearly worked as Jai has now been crowned the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2011 and is looking at a potentially life-changing recording contract worth half a million pounds. The flyer behind the bar at The Plough that bears Jai’s signature could potentially be worth something too with the current levels of fame that the Ayrshire singer is experiencing.
