Aberdeen Seasonal Ceilidh 2009
December 17, 2009 by Lyndon
Aberdeen City Council promises a night of seasonal joviality at the Iron Broo Christmas Ceilidh. The dance is on Saturday 19th December at the Culter Club, Peterculter, Aberdeen.
The event should attract a lot of local participants, ranging from young families to employees of local small businesses, for example, printing companies around Aberdeen. Organisers say: “it will be a fantastic Ceilidh open to the public”.
Even if you consider yourself to have two left feet, there is no need to worry as the band, Iron Broo, have an expert caller Gus MacDonald on board. You will be able to run through the steps with your partner first, and he will continue to holler out the moves in advance, as you dance.
Iron Broo Ceilidh Band is made up of two local Aberdonians, a Dumbartonian and a Hungarian. They are a well established professional band with a lot of experience, playing both at home and abroad. The band receives much acclaim. There are heaps of positive reviews on their website and they are described as one of the North East’s finest Ceilidh bands by Aberdeen City Council. The band will also be joined by last year’s special guest DJ GENO G.
The Ceilidh starts at 8.00pm and finishes at midnight. If you happen to be a small printing company from Aberdeen, you can be sure of a friendly, welcoming night for you and your colleagues. It should prove to be an excellent start to the Christmas season. You will return a little more exhausted yet refreshed.
